ABALONE INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT FUND (AIDF)

The AIDF is funded to the tune of $200,000 per annum from Government revenues provided to TACL which is responsible for choosing and managing research projects of an applied nature.

Acknowledgment:

The below projects were fully or partially funded using Grant monies provided by the Tasmanian Government from revenue generated from the leasing of 40 abalone quota units managed by the Tasmanian Government. The Grant funds are administered on behalf of the Tasmanian abalone industry by the Tasmanian Abalone Council Limited. Grant funds may be expended on a range of approved purposes including the following: biological, stock assessment, economic efficiency, climate change, aquatic disease, biosecurity, marine pest mitigation, improving market outcomes, development of industry capability, industry adjustment, supply chain efficiency and innovation, data collection & management, trade and market access.
