Dr Julian Amos
Chief Executive Officer
Dr Julian Amos is the Chief Executive Officer of TACL. The role is part-time.
Julian has chaired Commonwealth and State Fishery Management Advisory Committees and has been the facilitator for the Tasmanian salmon industry.
He is a former Member of Parliament and previously served as Minister for Primary Industry, Energy and Forests in the Tasmanian Government.
Julian has served on the Board of Hydro Tasmania and UTAS Innovation Ltd, and has been Chairman of the Forest Industries Association and Executive Officer of SALTAS.
He also runs a business consultancy specialising in strategic advice, communication techniques and negotiating skills.
Julian produces a monthly Statistics Pack and authors the Newsletter “In Support of Progress”. He authored the report Tasmania: Constraints and Opportunities, released in July 2011.
He has a doctorate in Life Sciences from the University of Tasmania.
Jane Johnson
Office Manager
Jane joined TACL in September 2024.
She brings considerable administration and operational environment experience to the role.
Born and raised in Tasmania, Jane is passionate about the State and enjoys supporting the TACL team and industry members.
